About

We listen, act, and transform

I’m Jennifer Lynch, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Positive Pathways Psychiatry. I provide personalized, evidence-based psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults, with an emphasis on creating a supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their treatment. My nursing career began in high-acuity emergency, intensive care, and progressive care settings, where I developed a deep appreciation for the connection between physical health, emotional well-being, and mental health. That experience ultimately led me to specialize in psychiatric care and establish a practice where I could spend more time understanding each individual—not simply treating a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, OCD, trauma-related symptoms, insomnia, and other mental health concerns. I have particular interests in ADHD and executive-function difficulties, anxiety and mood disorders, women’s mental health, and the unique challenges experienced by children, adolescents, college students, and adults navigating major life transitions. My approach is collaborative and individualized. I believe effective psychiatric care involves much more than identifying symptoms and prescribing medication. I take time to understand your history, daily functioning, relationships, stressors, previous treatment experiences, and what you hope to achieve from treatment. I also believe you should understand why a treatment is being recommended and feel comfortable asking questions or expressing concerns. When medication is appropriate, I focus on thoughtful medication selection, careful monitoring, and finding the lowest effective dose that provides meaningful benefit while minimizing side effects. Treatment plans are continually evaluated based on how you are actually feeling and functioning—not simply whether symptoms check a diagnostic box. Whether you are seeking psychiatric care for the first time, struggling with a medication that isn't working as expected, looking for diagnostic clarification, or hoping to find a provider who will take the time to listen, my goal is to help you better understand what you're experiencing and develop a treatment plan that feels both manageable and meaningful. You deserve psychiatric care that is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to you—not a one-size-fits-all approach. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three children and caring for our lively collection of pets—including a French Bulldog, hamsters, and guinea pigs.
